Its acronym is really ASS? Man...OK

Start/Stop technology, and the inability to permanently turn it off. You have to disable it every time you drive your car (at least on Toyotas). It is annoying as fuck and I’m not getting any better gas mileage than my old car of the same model without the “feature”.
There is a 0% chance that “tastemakers who have expressed interest” = reservations. The QX50 already sells like shit without charging $10k more for less car. This thing is going to flop so hard. This is Infiniti’s problem. It truly believes it is a real luxury brand despite everyone else knowing it isn’t. It’s not in…
My point is that people who supposedly read and agreed to the terms of a contract are upset that they were being held to the terms of that contract. I am not defending Uber/Lyft etc - I think the business model itself is ridiculous, but people have to be accountable too.
But the people CHOSE to operate these things not as they were intended. They CHOSE to operate them as businesses. If someone used their seatbelt to secure lumber in the backseat of their car and it broke lose in an accident, the manufacturer absolutely would state that was not the intended use for the seatbelt and I…
It’s rare that I agree with a Jalopnik writer, when it comes to anything legislative but this is the time. Uber, Lyft et al. do everything they can to pay the people who perform the service as little as legally (ilegally? IDK, not a lawyer or judge) possible. If your business can’t pay the people providing the service…
As I own a 996 with more than 200.000km on the clock and no IMS problems, and knowing a lot of other people with cars with a mileage like that and no engine problems, I think it is safe to say that these cars want to be driven. If you do that, then they’ll pose less problems than if you just let them sit for most of…
I had a 2016 SQ5 on lease a few years ago - and dollar for dollar it was the probably the best all-round car I’ve ever had. Not the most fun. Not the favorite. We currently have a 911 and a full size Range Rover which are great at specific things yet the plucky little SQ5 was like an 8/10 at absolutely everything. It…
The Q7 looks much nicer, especially from the front. I’ve seen a few of these around town, and yikes are they ugly.
Yeah, that’s an issue, really, when speaking about bespoke luxury and all. The Bentayga is almost the same remarkably similar mechanically as the Urus, the Audi, the Porsche, and the VW versions sharing the platform.
The Bentley is well, um, really an Audi Q7. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an Audi Q7 in a very expensive dress, but those door shapes in the side profile don’t hide it’s cheaper roots well enough.
“...more people will buy more Nissan Qashqais.”
Europe won’t suddenly switch en masse to Suburbans, it means the A segment is dying and more people will buy more Nissan Qashqais.
Man. These coupe SUV’s almost always turn out ugly. The Macan and the Q8 are really the only two I can think of that don’t make the whole thing look awkward.
Just buy a Macan.
Assuming you live the in the US, the reason you don’t see the ID anywhere is because the ID4 isn’t out yet and the ID3 isn’t sold in the US.
I appreciate a car who has an owner who appreciates their car that much. NP for car love...plus, handsome wagon (even with the wrong wheels)
A good friend of mine, who is Not a Car Person, buys the wheel and tire warranty for every vehicle he buys or leases. I thought it was ridiculous the first time he told me about it, only to discover that he has an unbelievable ability to destroy tires, and sometimes wheels. I believe his 530e went through 6 (?)…
