I think he wants a car from a recent decade

Big, luxurious, ok on gas? A V6 7-Series is your friend. This 2018 at Carmax is $5k under budget, only has 30k miles and comes with a warranty. Plus, it already hit its depreciation curve. Maybe not the biggest head turner but it’s definitely ritzy enough and the light silver paint is a break from all the boring

Completely agree. While a new 992 has some nostalgic charm, it’s a thoroughly modern car.

These aren’t selling very well at all. They’ve quickly become the Premium Full-Size SUV rental car special, sat in the airport parking lot next to the geriatric Nissan Armada and Infiniti QX80 twins.

This better happen, Renault.

+1 for the Quattro and the 904

We need to start thinking about EVs as just cars. Just like ICE cars, there will be cool cars, ugly cars, big cars, small cars, cheap cars, expensive cars, and in the case of the Fratzonic sound, douchey cars too. So really this is just business as usual at Dodge.

Technically nobody got that car because it’s an artist’s rendering. I think we romanticize Alfa Romeos but European Giuliettas were based on Fiats, had dull diesel engines and looked cross-eyed like this:

I did make the difference between whether we got an EV or ICE car. There are even more incentives for folks putting EVs through their LLCs, S Corps etc.

Exactly.

Untrue. I have a leased Taycan (MSRP was something like $110k) and I received the $7,500 tax credit as “down payment assist” so didn’t have to put anything down other than tax + registration. Porsche then claimed the federal tax credit for themselves. Everyone wins.

It might not be the fanciest, nor the fastest, or most expensive, but growing up in the UK - this generation of Golf GTI seemed to have a great reputation for just being a great all-round car.

Bless your heart thinking Sports Utility Vehicle is a technical term and not a marketing term from the 1990s.

Ok boomer

A $100k F150. What a time to be alive.

CP. With the exception of the Mercedes SL, this is probably one of the worst examples of awful 1980s US-spec safety standards ruining cars. Those giant black bumpers, orange reflectors and raised ride height just make a fun little Italian roadster look hideous.

We just traded our 2021 Macan S for a new Taycan and made a little profit after driving around for a year because of the chip shortage. Even though we only had it a year, the Macan was dollar for dollar one of the most pleasant cars I’ve ever had. Fast, comfortable, luxurious with the right options. That said, it

Hope it feels better
