Very glad for the final version! The beta was okay, but it had too many incompatibilities for me to use it regularly. Still, it's a nice backup. And now I'll actually be able to use the 3.0 goodness!

@Adam Pash: And almost a year and a half later, still no drawing on Macs :'( That is probably the feature that I most want them to add next.
I've been wanting to set up a laptop security system that has it report back whenever it connects to wifi. My friend set one up but forgot the password. Then he got robbed at gunpoint. I won't make that mistake.

TweetDeck's interface is still too unlikeable for me. I prefer Tweetie (desktop) or the web interface with "The Great Wave" from Apple's wallpaper set as my background. Very attractive.
@DiscoZombie: Totally agree re: Postbox. Thunderbird works as an email backup/offline solution for me, though, since I'm running Mac 10.6 (thus no Gears) and HTML5 doesn't work in Chrome yet.
QS has been running fine so far on my MacBook with 10.6, but an update is always a good thing...
I got my invite, but I don't appear to have any to give out...
It almost seems like Wave aims to be a combination of email, blogging, and micro-blogging in one platform. I'm sure that's hardly a new observation. But will it work?
I just use Google Docs for PDF hosting. Since I can upload anything up to 10MB it works just fine for reading elsewhere. The ability to turn a Doc into a web page is also nice, though potentially infringing if you use it on someone else's work.
I'd like it. I like Google's minimalism, and a fading page would certainly emphasize that. I don't know that it's really necessary, though. I can think of some other Google projects that I'd devote teampower to were I in charge...
@will_hopkins: I should say, "Who is a better poet: Eliot or Yeats?"
Which is a better poet: Eliot or Yeats?
This is a great way for those without much OS knowledge (me) to learn a little about what goes into one without too much of the nitty gritty.
Very helpful tips. I managed to stumble through most of this on my own when setting up my site, but a guide would have been helpful. It's still pretty helpful, actually.
@aandroyd: Many thanks! I'll give it a try.
I prefer certain pens for certain papers. I like a black Pilot Precise V5 (RT or not) for my Moleskines, a Field Notes clicky pen for my Field Notes, a Sharpie for Post-Its, and plain old black Bic Crystal pens for class notes and random scribblings. It's all about the right tool for the right job.
Depends quite a bit. Lately I've become a fan of Mozart, esp. The Requiem, though Transformers remains a favorite.

I've had serious problems getting it to connect to Last.fm. Seems like a fine concept, but buggy. It keeps telling me that the station is invalid, regardless of input.
