Hahaha, 11,000 email messages. I think I have waaaay too many addresses and waaaay to many messages.

My handwriting is pretty good when I take my time. If I'm tired or in a hurry, though, it looks like the mad scrawlings of an intoxicated chimp.

I think it's a great idea. One of the most productive steps I've taken to improve the quality of my schoolwork is making my desk a no-internet zone. That way I'm able to sit down and do my problem sets or dash off my papers without getting sucking into the addictive (and sometimes useful) series of tubes.

I definitely add my vote to Xmarks, as well as Twitterfox. Twitterfox is handy and can manage multiple accounts, but the constant notifications can be a bit pesky.

@MarvinKnukka: Dropbox's web interface should work just fine in that case. Right? I'm not too familiar with working on computers other than my own.

I use a Swiss Gear backpack to carry my MacBook around in, and I'm quite the fan. It's very ergonomic (even though using the chest strap will scream "Nerd!" to all within line of sight), and it has plenty of space while not getting bulky with only a few items in it.

Welcome, new folks. Well, presumably you've been around for a while as readers/commenters. So welcome kinda new folks :)

I'm not a huge fan - they kinda obscure my tabs in a way that is irritating to no end. I'm giving them a try in 3.1 beta, though, and they're not as bad as 3.0.

My cats would find such a perch long overdue for royalty such as they are.

Firefox is definitely on top. Google's ever-expanding web power is useful, but scary. Chrome is a good Windows browser, but I need a Mac/Linux version before I would consider it better than any cross-platform extendable browser.

@Matt_Soreco: Contexts also have little purpose for me. While many of my tasks are oriented toward different projects, they are almost always accomplished through my computer or personal meetings. Being a college student, everything is simply class, class work, or meetings.

For some reason, this command gives a very unjustified calendar. That means that all the numbers are jumbled, and not being a very skilled scripter I am clueless as to how to fix it. Thoughts?

@keo8128: Rainmeter is your friend. That and Rainlender.

No way this is going to steal comments from blogs. I share plenty on Google Reader, but none of my friends do, and to the best of my knowledge none care what I share.

I'm an aspiring dance therapist, so while I can't exactly publish independent research as an undergrad, it pays to take extra dance classes (4 ballet/week) and join campus mental health groups. It's also helpful as a college student to put in the extra time for office hours - trite, but completely worthwhile advice

Having never been a real fan of RTM, I'm looking forward to a more developed Tasks. I like the Gmail integration so far, but a full-scale webapp would be interesting. Needs Gears support, of course.

I like this feature/item/whatever. It's always fun to see what didn't make the cut. Often they're not interesting enough to pursue, but good for a quick scan.

I'm a fan of both the Ubuntu and Puppy Linux live CDs and USB drives. I don't use them much for my personal computer, since I use a Mac, but they're great to have handy when using a public terminal.

@penguiniator: I've been wondering the same thing. Sourceforge/Google Code project anyone? Like portableapps, but just porting cloud apps to the personal web server. Damn, I wish I could code.
