I try to watch V8 Supercars whenever I can, and I live in Sweden. Easily my favorite race series.

Yes. And what bugs me most right now is that Saab tooling and rights is getting sold to countries that I personally don’t want to associate with Saab. Some Chinese company owns the rights to the 9-5 and they completely butchered it, and now the Turks to the same thing. At least the cars doesn’t look that much like…

I’m personally glad that Turkey went with the BLS front end and overall design instead of the Saab one. I don’t want Saab to be associated with a country like Turkey... For some pretty obvious reasons.

I love Saab’s, drive one and have been around them since I was born. I can’t stand the abuse of the poor marque. It should be killed forever. It can’t be restarted anyway, Saab Technologies doesn’t want to let anyone use the Saab name anymore.

Except for the front bumper, that’s a pretty accurate picture of how a lot of Passats looks like in swedish rural areas nowadays. Light bars, blowing smoke and so on. These cars have become popular with younger drivers.

Poor Viggen looks really beat up. I would buy it in a heartbeat and restore it. Saabs are my life.
