The Z3 outsold the Z4 over the same year spans 3 to 1. Clearly the Z4 was a completely bomb and as such BMW stopped making it and outsourced it to a 3rd party manufacture.

The 1 series that pretends to be an M is an overpriced 135. It lacks any attractive features and is a complete sham on the stupid people who actually bought one. It doesn’t even have an M engine, its the same exact engine as the 135.

Steel gray, Phoenix Yellow, and Laguna Seca Blue were all S54 exclusive colors, although there have been a few special orders of Steel Gray on a handful of other Z3s. So technically its just as rare.
