Umm, the dipstick doesn’t fail like the oil level sensors tend to do. No reason you can’t have both, its not like a dipstick adds a lot of expense to a car. The reason they give you for eliminating the dipstick is emissions. Just like my air compressor has a sight glass, you should always be able to visually check the

How sad is it that Fox Sports 1 used to be Speedvision.

Pretty bad when even the faithful don’t watch the actual races.

I think that NASCAR is a joke, but its also boring until there are crashes.

I don’t want to change a tire either, but when its a 90 minute wait for the tow truck then I have to get my hands dirty.

I don’t see the value. Maintenance parts are cheap and easy. I can see the value of a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty, but I have no need to have the stealership change my oil or brake pads for me. Mostly because I can do those things in less time than it takes to drive to the stealership.

I don’t consider parts or engines in the NSX to be any more halo engineered than a BMW M Car. Its just an Acura Legend V6 engine after all. The hard stuff is the window motors, the stereo stuff, and finding room to be able to get to things. The S54 is dramatically more advanced than the C30A in just about every way,

I just don’t understand why people use these places. Just lazy, maybe stupid? I am not sure.

Its truly a sad thing that dipsticks are no longer included with cars.

Except they don’t do any actual maintenance. They used to have a much more rigorous maintenance schedule. Now that they are paying for the maintenance they give you 20k oil changes and lifetime fill fluids. Its just stupid. These cars should last longer than the older ones, but they don’t.

I am going to have to call bullshit on that one.

Little johnny should have the ability to call up or visit the local autoparts store or amazon and see how much oil and a filter will cost for his vehicle.

I never said you had to do the actual fixing. Only that you should be intelligent enough to google the issue and ask around to get a pretty good idea before you pay some random stranger untold thousands to fix what could be a simple one hour fix.

Isn’t the watch named after the triathlon?

Maybe so, but I don’t need a new phone every year.

Maybe they want you to be clueless so you go back to the stealership every time you need a new light bulb and pay insane prices for things like $300 oil changes.

This is just sad. Society in general is just getting dumber. (This is where we start the Idiocracy is coming true debate.) This is a serious problem.

Why drag stupid into the argument. The tax on strippers is just a tax grab. Its pointless, but no one is going to argue or give a politician shit about sin taxes because no one wants to publicly admit they take part in them. Taxes on car inspections, or cigarettes, or liquor, or even a lap dance are all bullshit

Yeah, I have attempted bleeding it outside of the truck.
