I doubt it. You can just make one of those virtual folders and call it "Useless Crap" or somethin

pinch to zoom not only still works, but it works much better now in safari

Well first off, what's there to wait for? 10.8/11? That won't be out till two years from now.

thing is journalists aren't supposed to troll like commenters are allowed to.

See, i personally prefer apple, but i still hate the way gizmodo usually writes. The reason i read is because it lets me know about some cool and interesting stuff, such as this laptop, but i think the writers are often less than acceptable journalists

"no Sandy Bridge. No Thunderbolt. No Blu-Ray XL"

I think the title is somewhat misleading. it makes the reader think that there's evidence that the iPods will be discontinued, when its really just the writer talking about how it might be acceptable by society for iPods to be discontinued

the reason you'd still be wise to upgrade is because a lot of programs will become 10.7 and up, dropping support for your computer.

It's to show that it's advancing. Its just like any version number. It's the "This version is newer" tag =P Saying it's not important is like saying iOS 4.3 (and all other 4.x versions) should have just been called iOS 4 =P

And ONE more thing ;) people are getting upset that they're being given features that they wont personally like. Thing is, theyre not taking anything away. Theyre just adding. So if u dont like the new stuff, u dont have to use it. U can still use the old stuff for the most part

Another thing, lion is something u have to try to like. I thought id hate it before i tried the beta. And now i love it! I guess "dont knock it til u try it" holds a bit of truth, even in silicon valley ;)

Lion is just smething u have to use to like. I thought id hate it before i tried the beta and now ilove it.

I agree. I was browsing the features list today and was totally surprised at how many productivity features there are now. Apple just chose not to talk about them i guess. And i guess the writer of this article hadn't read the list =P

its only a good feature for notebooks. Desktops, i tried it, i hated it. Notebooks, it was really nice.

Re: Lots of good intentions

MBA, mac mini, mac pro, MBP maybe. you never know ;)

well you can go into finder, pull the .dmg out of the lion installer, burn that to disc, install Lion, go into disk utility, delete the recovery partition, and resize the main partition to reclaim the lost disk space. But i do agree there should be a disc based option for those with slow/no internet, and who don't

hey now, no need to be so jerk-like. It was a comment without much clarity to the reasoning. It seemed to imply piracy, but it may imply a dislike towards Apple, or something else of the sort. Just sayin ;)

I don't think people quite want to give LulzSec a second glance. I think they're methods are terrible, yes. But it think they are one of the few groups, (another being Anonymous, who is also involved anyways) who can start up a global hacking operation with hundreds of hackers at their side, for a decent cause: To

well i mean, there's obviously some way of keeping IPs hidden fairly well, because otherwise Anonymous and LulzSec simply wouldn't exist anymore. I don't personally know the methods, but there's gotta be something that they do.
