Last week's episode about Pied Piper in danger of losing funding, only to gain it at the end, only to lose it again this episode, definitely smacks of comparisons to Entourage's formula of "they're shutting down the studio!" But the beauty of it is that this seems to be happening in an organic, un-formulaic way.
Raviga (which wasn't even named in season one) is in a much weaker state, and isn't comparable to when Peter was in charge. It's kind of hard to compare his hypothetical actions to Laurie's real actions, because he didn't have to deal with the crisis of him dying.
