I’m sort of ok with this, but then like a lot of certain taxes is unfairly targets the poor. I’m hardly destitute, but I can’t afford a new car big enough for my family that gets that kind of mileage. My 2015 grand caravan is lucky to stay above 20mpg with regular mixed driving.

Boss Hoss beat me to it

I would guess the venn diagram for Harley Street Glide and BMW K1600 GT buyers is two completely separate circles.

This isn’t a bike for introverts.”

Try making that from an aircooled. I have a 2-liter aircooled from Porsche that made 88 horsepower stock, so yeah.

The brakes are good. I hustled it through some of the canyons north of LA, and had no problems with braking. One finger is plenty to stop the bike, but I typically use two for comfort.

I probably wouldn’t spend 35K on this either, but if someone has a lot of cash and wants to look like a badass, there’s little else

Note to self, don’t bother finding wife, find more motorcycles.

If a 226 horsepower Katana doesn’t qualify as a vorpal sword, what does?

Toyota taking a note from the Bronco revival and bringing the Land Cruiser back to basics. Still gonna be hella expensive.

That seems like a whole lot of hood to be held up by a single prop, rather than a strut or two.

So a Land Rover Discovery??? I thought Ford and Land Rover parted ways?

I mean, it is such an easy mistake to make, who hasn’t done this a few times?

I mean...David...come on...You’ve done amazing things mechanically with these old, decrepit jeeps and you’re very mechanically inclined, but then you let water just freeze inside the block?

You’ll notice on the spreadsheet that, at 72,384 miles and 115,362 miles, the air conditioning compressor had to be replaced. “AC compressors are one that...we realized early on, was that they are not designed to be used around the clock,” Sonnad told me, pointing out that this Model X’s AC was in use pretty much

Not a lot of other cars going for $30k at that mileage. Like damn.

My point was actually about how the interior is used as a talking point by the journalists covering it.

LC is long in the tooth, slow, wobbly and incredibly bland and fuel inefficient. Why would people “With class” would chose that over much better offerings ?

Oh good, we’re back on the this cycle again.

“They don’t say, ‘I drive a Cadillac,’ they say, ‘I drive an Escalade people to and from the airport for a living’”
