As I said elsewhere, the GOP haven’t been economic conservatives for at least 40 years. There is billions in wasteful spending and pork projects in the federal budget. True economic conservatives would be fighting to slash the waste.

Socially Progressive means the government has no role in people’s life choices. Gay marriage, abortion, sex changes, etc. shouldn’t be an issue because the government’s only role is to get away of the way and let people love their lives.
