I think that once he was attached to a video game project - especially one of the same genre (and even sub-genre) - it was poor form professionally to make such a comment. And even if we accept that he had to have his opinion heard, he did so in a very rude manner.

@xxXX_Insanities_Birth_XXxx: Everyone has the right to call a game overrated - that's subjective, but Uncharted 2 "worse" than Uncharted 1? That's an incorrect assertion I feel comfortable calling attention to. UC2 was longer, more cinematic, and less repetitious (a lot less repetitious, which the first one had in

@TigerKnee: Thanks for the recognition. Played through DS twice, and I never felt like more of a "gamer" than after finishing DS.

@ithyphallus, 13382: "...actually hates games as a medium... viewing them as childish..."

@selderane: Agreed - the whole single-dad stuff at the beginning of the game - especially taking care of him after school, was so bittersweet. I love that things like this are being done in video games.

@deanbmmv: Agreed 100% - I'd play the hell out of some FreeRealms if it was on my PS3.

@Funkmeister: Try to keep in mind that those allegations were made after Andrea Dworkin got her claws into the actress.

@outzaidur: Indeed - culturally, the statistics are often flawed because of the stigma of rape in less advanced countries.

The attempt to come up with a viable system is commendable, but frankly I think this is a losing battle. There are simply far too many valid responses due to 1) the vast quantity of incredible games and 2) the subjectivity of game quality.

OK, for the sake of discussion, in NO PARTICULAR ORDER:

@mizeriq: I meant - it never worked for me as a kid :)

OK, for me, this is one of those situations where I am not personally interested, but I like seeing console manufacturers exploring new tech and territory.
