@Koztah: I simply have my entire 400+ DVD collection ripped (uncompressed) on my PC, and I access it from my PS3. I have wired ethernet in my house and it all plays flawlessly. Sure, it isn't 1080p, but I find the difference negligible on my 42" LCD tv.
