My gf went into Best Buy a few years ago looking for some component related to a CD player. When she described the device in question to the sales guy he said "Oh, like an iPod?". She explained that, no, she meant a CD player - a device that played CDs. The guy said "Ohhh, like an iPod." No joke.

Nobody says "blast" anymore and I think that's a shame.
