Which part is the "kind" part? The labeling? The freezing?

Please reread your previous comment before you start analysing mine.

Those eyes!

Sadly, many commentators take the entitlement position because it doesn't require any changes or rethinking. One of the most popular "excuses" is inconsistency in behaviour or attitude. So if you care about this issue and you're a meat eater your comment becomes invalid. The implication is that unless you're perfect

Animals aren't people. So they don't matter like people.

Sadly this type of article only relies on shock value. You can tell from the comments that people who do care feel that the situation is hopeless. If the intent was to inform consumers how to avoid animal cruelty, we would see some alternative suggestions. But that would require additional research. I only hope that

Yeah, cognitive dissonance is really enriching the comment section for every animal related article. It's especially amazing when it comes from people who so strongly oppose gender inequality and racism. And me pointing this out makes me "holier than thou", which makes this comment completely invalid/irrelevant, so

Can't stay still and behave for 3 seconds? That's not adorable, that's hyperactive.

Ok, that's still bullshit. Muslim speakers should be used to travelling and seeing the world as it is, and not as they wish it to be. If you can't deal with reality, then stay at home. And I say this as someone with muslim background. I hate when people use religion as a cover-up for their own prejudices.

I do just fine surviving Swedish winter without any wool or down. Some smart insulation like primaloft, combined with layering is the key, ime.

Live-plucking causes the birds stress and pain, but it’s more profitable than getting feathers from a dead bird since you can use the animal again and again.

There are environmentally friendly synthetic options such as PrimaLoft Eco that uses post-consumer recycled materials to make insulation for coats and jackets. Vaute Couture - a vegan coat company uses Prima Loft Eco in some of their coats, (aside from other recycled fibres). I'm sure there are other good options out

Any religious (or other) kinds of cults where women are allowed to have several husbands? I understand that we only get to read about "shocking" cases. This is why I'd like to see some actual statistics...

Ideally, polygamy happens between consenting adults and as such it's not morally problematic. But I keep reading about cases where polygamy involves a religious cult and women/girls marry/live with one man. Surely, in a scenario of equal opportunity for men and women, there would be a more equal representation of

I can't believe it has already been a year.

I think the real problem is that many men and women don't really understand what rape means. They get their information from movies where the rapist is a lunatic stranger, and not the victim's friend/husband/boyfriend.

20 seconds of him turning red and yelling at people in an advertisement for his show is more than I can take. I find him arrogant and obnoxious.

Maybe it's important that they do, though? Women get raped during Christmas. This poem is a reminder that holidays are not a happy time for everyone, and for once, they are addressing the rapist directly. The message is "don't rape" instead of "don't get raped". The fact that it's a poem about rape with a Christmas

My comment was more of a general statement, so not really about you or your mom. Sorry about the misunderstanding. I do think many people would see Oprah's success as bad parenting. Her image as a nurturer never actually crossed my mind, you do have a point.
