This is sweet. And not that unusual with domesticated animals. Animal behaviour (in general) isn't entirely based on instinct, or more correctly, what we understand as instinct.
The main issue is exploitation (including killing) of animals. So yes, you were right. For instance, breast-feeding is fine. And chewing your own flesh... err... is ok too, I guess... for those who are into that.... I'm vegan and I don't see it as an ethical/animal rights question.
Yeah, that was my impression too. She meant it was gross, so not an ethical question. Vegans are fine with breast-feeding and such. This person sounds a bit nutty though.
I haven't tried their moisturisers yet. I use different oils instead, but not always. Sometimes just around my eyes. Have you tried oils to control oily skin (oxymoron, but works for some ppl) Dr Hauschka has a normalizing oil that saved me in my very oily days. I also like Weleda's almond oil. And grapeseed oil.
