One on one with no items is the most sterile and boring way to play Smash. The game is made to be played with all the crazy items on the strange interfering stages by 4 people at the same time. The game is a Chaos simulator and that’s why it’s fun

TBH, I don’t disagree with you. I preordered the deluxe for PC when it came out due to the wonderful trailer. But these days I’m maxed light and just not feeling a drive to earn auras. Can’t even really do it anyway because the game doesn’t facilitate PUGs despite the token system.

I hate this ending to the point where I don’t want to play the game anymore. It isn’t even that I need a ‘good’ ending where everyone lives merrily ever after, but I do need an ending that is a logical result of the gameplay itself.

I just hope the switch doesnt fall into another “Wii Version vs Playstation/Xbox version” type of situation

Yeah, this would actually be a cool idea if it were something that could ever be hoped to be fair and accurate. Unfortunately we are humans and that is not a realistic expectation.
