The thing that annoys me most about this is that it affords Kotick a graceful bow-out. “Leaving to allow new leadership to carve their own path” or some bullshit instead of having to resign in disgrace.

And then Disney buys Microsoft.  And then Amazon buys Disney.  And then the Vogons demolish the Earth to make way for a hyperspace bypass.

Well that would explain why Kotick hasn’t gone juuuust yet (no doubt will get a massive percentage of the price) and why Phil is so diplomatic about the answers he gave about behaviours at the place.

This is the trap of anime. It’s successes invites people to attempt a live-action remakes for profit (understandably) but only those who don’t appreciate the inherent value of the form of anime itself would fall for it.

Watching the live stream and its interesting how the moment they started talking about equitable cameras and taking picture of people of color.. the dislikes started pouring in.

Thinking about the circumstances that led to these abandoned cars is quite sad. Could be the owners traveled alone and died at their destination with no next of kin to be found. 

If it helps any, the eCVT is not a traditional CVT, or even a transmission really. It’s two motors, one is connected to the engine and acts as a generator, while the other connects to the axles to drive the truck. A clutch engages to connect the engine to the drive motor at highway speeds.  The transmission is not…

Most folks do not need crossovers. They buy them because it is what dealers steer them toward, and because they don’t stop to think about the fact that, in creating a midpoint between a sedan and an SUV, the crossover typically has each of those segments’ weaknesses rather than their strengths.

Ditto. The wife is next in line for a car in a few years...maybe I can talk her out of her Outback (doubt it) and into an AWD Hybrid XLT. 

I talked myself out of buying one when it was first announced because my car is 2 years from being paid off but the want is so strong. If they had an AWD hybrid I 100% would have preordered one and said logic be damned. It’s really the perfect vehicle for me. An XLT AWD Hybrid is right where I want to be.

Is.... is nobody going talk about that stackup in the background?

I really hope they remedy the lack of AWD with the Hybrid powertrain in later years, because that’s egregious. That said, I want one real bad.
