Dumbest statement I have read today.

Many horrible and potentially funny things ran through my mind when reading this. Here is what I will say. Good for him.

@Rob Oakes: Their wealth grew with the iPhone but they had a great deal of money before that. The company has no debt it is sitting on cash reserves. The computer sales are up, the phone sales are up, iPod sales haven't shrunk and the iPad just popped.

@Eulatos: The premise is the same, they used the purchase of iAd to make it OK to block that ability. Effectively killing the normal targeted method and wrecking the AdMob method of advertising. Collecting data and pointing business ads at you based on habits.

So Apple rolls out iAd then adds a provision to block it, thereby blocking Google and AdMob in one fell swoop. This is all protected as a non-monopoly move because Apple effectively blocked it's own advertising since it is also not independent.

It was most likely due to his singular vision, dictatorial management style and unwavering belief that he is the only one who is right. So not much has changed, yet every time someone bashes his style Apple gets bigger makes more money and redefines some part of computing.

According to Apple's website the camera is better by 2 megapixel, with the added LED flash. It also records in HD versus non-hd. There are quite a few differences not mentioned here.

Well honestly I think we as a consumer lose. The Nexus One is marginally different and in no significant way better than the current smart phones. That makes the iPhone the winner. With a next gen on the horizon what will Apple do next is still better than what dod Google do?
