True. I don’t happen to agree with Peachy’s idea of Hammer, but if it were true “entitled golden boy with nothing to back it up” is exactly the character.

I love this so much.
He’s a friar tuck I’d #$%&.
Timothee this week your Friar tuck stuck... my dear you’re safe.
Completely agree, Death on the Nile and Murder on the Orient Express with Albert Finney both of those are classic’s that I love to watch and no remake could surpass them. Angela Lansbury’s drunken love writer is so funny.
Two ugly people, Gal Gadot and Armie Hammer, have joined the movie adaptation of the Agatha Christie murder mystery The Death of a Nile.
ALSO Branagh should have really resisted the urge to cast himself as Poirot—a blue eyed Englishman as the little Belgian detective??? Mais non! I also hated his decision to characterize Poirot as OCD. It’s been done, it was called Monk, this is not a fresh take.
The 1970s series of Agatha Christie movies has never been surpassed (because they’re perfect). Last year’s Murder on the Orient Express was nowhere near the flawless 1974 classic. So now they’re doing Death on the Nile, but who can top Bette Davis and Maggie Smith? (No one)...
The more I hear about the minutia of her life as a congresswoman, the more I fucking want to hug her and give her wine.
Men, continuing the disappointment.
Yup, that was my first thought too, "oh it's that anime o-face shit, isn't it"
Saw this movie a lot as a kid and it was very tame. Nothing in it that was not on soap operas or primetime tv.
“We need to not have the right kind of Democrat and the wrong kind of Democrat. We need to just be like, ‘You’re a Democrat? Sick. Get in the car. We’re going to the mall’”
To be fair, Shapiro writes later in the book that she did travel to her aunt to talk about it (her aunt knew nothing about it). It’s actually one of my favorite scenes because it’s so raw and sweet and her aunt says something like, “I’m not giving you up, and you better not give me up either.” In those early chapters,…
I don’t need her to be a leftist dream, I need her to be better than Mitch. It’s a pretty low bar. Campaigning in a way that talks to voters she needs to win over, conservatives who have probably voted red their whole lives (or voted southern democrat when that was still a thing) is smart.
Anecdotally only — I know a woman who struggled deeply with infertility and was able to conceive successfully through IVF. In her experience she met and became close with an number of other people experiencing similar struggles. One of these lost the child she conceived through IVF, and my friend volunteered to carry…
I have absolutely no issue admitting that I unabashedly love this youngster. “Bad Guy” is one of the most clever and catchy little tunes I’ve ever heard and her voice is just super soothing. The self awareness she appears to have at 17 is quite impressive. I hate that this is how it is, though.
I can’t help it, I just like her so much. I love her style, I love her voice, I love her aesthetic (ew that word), I just love it all. As an old, I am terrified for her, of course, but I hope she is surrounded by good people and that she can sustain her confidence into real, lasting success.
I also hope she continues…
I’d never heard of her until someone posted her video in the comments last night, now there’s this. I’m liking her.
