It’s supposed to be like a Platonic ideal—in the way that the meter is defined by the movement of light in a vacuum—so in practice, the kilogram will likely remain the same and the method of calculation will be what changes. That way we don’t make a whole bunch of science inaccurate in one move.

Weird that it lost weight when most of what I’ve read worries about adding weight, with dust and fingerprint oil.

You’re probably on the right side of history.

Yeah, but Zach Snyder doesn’t know what deconstruction means. We don’t have to listen to him if we don’t want to.

Yeah, that’s not enough for me. I’ll just happily pretend Jimmy’s hanging out with Kara during the MoS trilogy.

Just the clarify, I thought the only reason Jimmy Olsen died in Batman v Superman is because Zach Snyder said that the dead guy was Jimmy. There’s nothing in the film that indicates who it is, right?

Even though it represented a huge error on Happy’s part from a security standpoint (No pilot? Seriously? It’s flying upstate, not to the secret fortress of solitude), I love that goddam plane.

As are the Ruby Slippers from the Wizard of Oz, which are the most visited object in the Smithsonian.

Superman’s suit is definitely something that belongs in the Smithsonian, not in a pawn shop.

Are sure that Rand Corp isn’t located in one of the mid-level floors of Avengers tower?

Jane dies and becomes Valkyrie?

“The Merciless, the Wonder Woman analogue, it’s Batman’s fear that if he waged war on crime the way that people want him to—the way that Wonder Woman does in a sense that it’s a total war”

TBH, neither of these sound great. What would be really cool and totally unfeasible is to have a series like Nero Wolfe or Sherlock, with Nancy Drew solving a different hour-and-a-half long mystery. Take some cues from Riverdale and watch the money pour in.

I can’t wait for Snagglepuss. I really want a Oscar Wilde/Truman Capote vibe, and that’s the feeling I’m getting.

Exactly. What is she doing to save the world after Civil War as a badass spy, and then how does she come back in from the cold?

Yeah, you know it’s the show’s theme when they hire Susan Sarandon to say it.

Just saw it and I loved it! I think the main problem with the film is that it’s a bit rushed—I wanted more time to drink in these characters and how they interacted. If there had been another twenty minutes of film, half on their relationship beginning, and half on the actual creation of Wonder Woman, it would have

The nuclear family? Both A- and B-Plots? Jerry and Beth’s whole relationship? It’s a sitcom where the situations are the multiverse.

Ever notice that men who don’t get this joke also accuse women/feminists of being unfunny killjoys?

I think that, in addition to Bruce and Selina getting engaged, I really liked the War of Jokes and Riddles, and I’m very happy that I read along as the issues came out.
