I get that, nobody wants the bumper of a lifted 4x4 coming thru their drivers window.

Exactly. My 2000 Dodge diesel nearly doubles the economy of both my other car and my wifes SUV. It makes all the sense in the world to commute in it. Not to mention in my area diesel is cheaper right now than 93 octane.

Correct. You also dont spend $60k+ (these days) on a HD pickup just to sit in the driveway waiting to be used towing toys a few weekends out of the year. People drive them. Trucks these days are just as comfortable and luxurious to drive as cars. Thats not even factoring in fuel economy of modern trucks (diesels

This.

My dad had a really clean old J20 back when i was a little kid. Gun metal grey with an underpowered V8 from what i remember, but i loved the thing. The old man used to haul an 11' fully self contained pick-up camper with the thing. Some of my earliest childhood memories were of that truck.

100% agree. I always loved the 91'-92's more when i was growing up. The front fascia is what did it for me. Looked kick ass. Still wouldnt mind finding one for myself one day...

Even today, it's hard to find a 1993 Cobra in ANY condition for less than $15k.

Interesting that it says WA state has a 24% max all around when most new cars around here come from the factory darker than that nowadays. The wife and I have 15% on all our cars and I had always thought that was as dark as we could go legally.

I’m under the age of 25 and Insurance for my 2003 Cobra is less than on my 16 year old Dodge diesel pickup... Go figure! I also have never had so much as a ticket on my driving record.

You ain’t kidding about the Camry, I found that out just this morning at 4AM headed to work. (In mexico of course) 2016 Camry decides he wants a go at my Cobra off a stop light, figured I’d eat him for breakfast. I only had him by around 2 car lengths after about an eighth mile. I was astonished!

I always wondered why he calls them the Xr4ti... It all makes sense now.

Haha when i was a kid my best friends next door neighbor had a couple junked out Xr4ti’s in the driveway and i can vivdly remember everytime we’d walk by the cars and see the badge on the trunk going, “now what the hell is a damn Xrati!? How do you even pronounce that!?”

I have to agree, i live in the 2nd largest city in the state of WA and I've never been hasseled about not running a plate on my Cobra. Its been about 2 years now. I figure if i get hasseled about it eventually, then I'll just throw it up in the windshield like everyone else does. I refuse to drill holes in my front

Isn’t it great that nowadays if you disclose the fact that your a republican on the internet some elitist prick liberal will automaticly accuse you of being racist? The only thing worse than a racist are dipshits running around calling other people racist on the internet who they dont even know.

I see them all the time in my neck of the woods, I’m not a big light bar guy myself, i think they look stupid on the roof of a truck. I’ve never seen them being used on the road though. But i agree there is surely no need for them in on road situations. Off road however, they are marvelous

They actually are illegal for street use. Offroad use only...

Ahh, ran into this dilema just the other day, bought a car that i didnt realize had locking nuts on em’... And of course no key to be found. Just slipped a 19mm right over them, (didnt even have to pound on the socket) and they came right off, way easier than i expected. Hardest part was getting the damn lugs out of

Brett Favre would have dove on it.
