The window can’t be able to lower very far. It’s right above the wheel well. trying to load via a half open window seem like a pain in the ass. I bet this is one of those features that sounds good, but no one ever actually used.

No. It’s decent, but not as good as you say. Why does an electric car have such a huge ugly grill up front?
Not a huge fan of this, but remember Tesla is getting rid of humans selecting drive mode (i think you already did an article on that) if that system works then I guess this will be fine. This is intended to be used only to override that system.
ARE YOU INSANE!?!? THe Lexus grill is hideous. It’s HUGE. Sadly, lexus makes some of the ugliest car on sale (LC included) and it mostly due to their massive grills. Lexus in the mid to late 2000s was making good looking stuff.
Minivan, Minivan, Minivan, Minivan, Minivan
I don’t think all level 2 aids are inherently bad. I think that adaptive cruise control is a safe thing. The driver still has to maintain complete awareness of the vehicle and what is happening since the driver still has 100% of the steering responsibility. It’s when the vehicle only partially takes over several of …
Looks like the Tesla was making a pass of the white truck. Then was going to pass the black car and semi. I think it should have moved over after passing the white truck, but we don’t have a complete sense of everything that was going on.
It’s hard to tell without seeing more of what came before. How long was the BMW there? How close had it been following?
There is no reason you couldn’t do this exact same thing with a regular wheel.
There are plenty of good reasons to move to AVs, Not wanting to rive doesn’t make you an idiot. The average american spends somewhere around 17 days per year driving. Wanting to get that time back is totally reasonable.
I don’t think your original premise is correct. At the moment failover is something that needs to be considered, but as the technology develops it won’t be an issue. If you have 2 sensors and the primary goes down then you get an alert to go get it fixed. In the highly unlikely scenario of both sensors failing at the…
I don’t think that next year is a reasonable timeframe. However, 2035 does seem pretty far out. Clearly there are a ton of moving parts. And a lot needs to go into making something like this happen. It comes down to what priorities are. If California really wants to address this issue sooner they could make it happen.…
The headlights are fine. They aren’t great, but fine. It’s definitely the grill. Also the weird channel that the top of the grill creates. That channel goes into the hood and causes a bun of ugly bends.
Am I crazy? wouldn’t 25 years ago be 1995? Wasn’t the Vanquished launched in 2001?
That would be horrible to drive. You wouldn’t be able to a see anything. Not a fan of the stupid concepts that would never work.
In theory I could see how this could work well. If they priced the base car cheap and the options were reasonable. It would make manufacturing cheaper and they could pass that saving on to consumers. They are probably betting on more people getting more options overall with this model.
I’m thinking an old mini truck. Like a Datsun 520. Those only weigh something like 2100lbs. You’d have an easy platform for battery swaps. 2 carts at the same height as the truck bed. Put the battery racks on rollers with some tracks in the bed. A few bolts to hold them in. You come in for a pit stop. Undo the bolts…
Right now we are in the early stages of self driving. As the tech advances I imagine the numbers will shift in a positive direction pretty extremely.
Good is waaaaaaay to strong a word. How about it doesn’t look complete crap. The back isn’t too bad.
This really depends on how Tesla sold it to the auction, and how the auction sold it to the dealer.
