Were I in charge of a major corporation after the damage that Musk has done to Twitter, I would have let whatever ad contract I had with the platform expire and done only the minimum ads required by the contract.

It happened to me once in a Wendys’ parking. Their debit/credit card system were down so I walked across the street to get cash at the ATM. By the time I was back ( not even 5 minutes ) my car was already being towed.

It took the Wendy’s manager to come out and yell at the towing guy for him…

From what I understand yes there is a contract , but the tow company is essentially maliciously enforcing the contract, on purpose. The lot owner has tried to get the contract voided and IIRC he is working through the court system as we speak.

Location has nothing to do with it, tow truck drivers are always strapped.  Just the nature of the business.

One of the linked articles says another parking site signed a contract with a company that then used A-1 for towing, and they were unable to quickly cancel the contract and regret signing it.

Given the location and nature of the business, I am 100% certain the tow truck guys are also armed.

am I getting this correctly? A tow trucks goes into a truck stop to refill. Does his refill, moves his truck and goes to pay for parking and during that time the trucks get booted?

Doesn’t the truck stop have a contract with that A1 company? The truck stop allows that kind of behavior on their property?

Honestly surprised no employees of these predatory towing companies have been shot yet.
