It takes a lot of courage to gather your thoughts when THE ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD is waiting for you.

Jesus, this place.

I’m referring to how the tabloids hounded Paul hours after John died when he was clearly visibily grief stricken and then made him go “viral” because of this:

It’s clear they’re going to make a joint statement and even more clear that they’re in deep deep grief. Give the cast some space. No one wants to be in the situation that Paul McCarthy was when John died.

Make sure all of the more famous people are planning to keep living before you die. No one wants to fall out of this news cycle so precipitously.

Yea these are completely different asks. My 03 Corolla is a high mileage hero. It’ll keep running forever as long as I do basic maintenance. But, I don’t really care that much about it specifically. Replace it with another efficient econobox of similar size, I would not care about the change one bit.

I read it as a memory: Bruce could be full of himself, but he was well-liked by the cast and crew. Cliff decided to be a jerk and a bully for his own sake that dayy, and that cost him that job and many more in the years since. (Also, because everybody on set knows he is a murderer.)

I have a high trim Mazda 6 and honestly I want to keep it.  It’s nothing special, but I kind of like it and it may age well I think.   Considered one of the last manual sporty Accords for the same reason.

Tarantino should probably get therapy, but I don’t know if he’d want to foot the bill.

To me the question changed. It was “high Mileage Hero” and then it became a “forever car”. These are two different vehicles.

Not defending him at all, but the consequences of being an asshat on a motorcycle land almost entirely on the asshat.

Shocking that people aren’t wild about $60k (at 7% interest!) cars with limited, often-broken charging infrastructure and insane repair and maintenance costs.

My wife and I watch it. It can be kind of fun at times, but usually only because of two or three good dancers (one of whom is often arguably a ringer “I have never professionally danced, but I did tap, ballet, modern dance, and jazz dance 6 hours a day, 6 days a week from the ages of 4-15". The crappy dancers are

Those days didn’t exist. The guy was selling indulgences before he even took office.

That was every single day from his unbelievable selection (I spent that next day in a fog of disbelief) until the protesters were hauled out of the Capitol. I was at work and my sister DMed me - and I thought maybe a handful to a dozen MAGAts were being on brand until I checked news sites. JFC.

This was apparently in 2019, when it was approaching the end of his presidency. Spicer was (I think) his first press secretary, and he had gone through a few others by then.

Ah, the early days of the Trump presidency, when things were merely scary-funny and not scary-“oh jesus fuck christ what’s he doing now?”

RDJ a conservative? I know about his comment about going from riches to prison and not coming out a liberal, but he doesn’t appear to exactly be a doctrinaire conservative. Heck, the man went vegan to reduce his carbon footprint and supports the climate change reduction group The Footprint Coalition.

Right-wingers bedrock belief that Hollywood is liberal is easily disproved when Dancing With the Stars hired Spicer, The Masked Singer hired Roodles, and, most egregiously, SNL hired Trump to do episodes. Turns out entertainment companies are giant, multinational corporations that are more aligned with Republican
