If being equitable means throwing innocent victims in the fire to accomplish your goals then you are not on the right side of social evolution. Throwing away morality in an arbitrarily constructed hierarchy is the wrong direction.

Okay then, the root cause of misogyny is buried in socially reinforced gender roles that are supported by the entire population, not just ‘toxic’ men.
