Hey Ryan, remind me again. How many NASCAR championships have you won?

Then the Takata airbag went off, setting the car in motion because it wasn’t actually in park as the keys fell out of the ignition while running which then lodged under the gas pedal accelerating it away unintentionally where it was finally halted by a volkswagen dealership who promptly lied about the whole thing.
That is so dangerous and irresponsible. Please disposes of your tires properly.
There exists a place between ridgeline level capability, and solid axle swap crawling and that place is called “most off-roading” and many people go there.
ah ha! you’ve exactly illustrated my point! Sure you can throw solid axles on a unibody...but you won’t because the PRIMARY advantage of a unibody is ride and handling...two thing that solid axles sort of inhibit. Per the article BoF vs Unibody:
“Honda says 95 percent of mid-size trucks live on the pavement. But Sweers says 45 percent of its Tacoma buyers do go off-road, and that many spend lots of money on aftermarket accessories. He says “the typical after sale spend for pick-ups, depending on region and segment, is $3000~8000,” a significant figure that…

That was the least scientific / informative video I’ve veer seen. This Mark Hopus look-alike goes about opening the box like a teenager, and provides no real insight. He spits out some real technical jargon like: “Let’s get this green goo out of there”, and “hard hard putty clay type stuff”. His tiny hype man only…
he says nothing of import in the video, nothing.
My mother in law has a Lexus RX350 and while its like eating a plain bagel with no cream cheese in terms of driving excitement its a perfectly fine car. Decent acceleration and handling and the interior is plenty nice. Boring as hell but not a car that should be on this list imo. No Jetta on this list or a PT Cruiser…
As someone who actually owned a 2010 RX350, it’s literally just an appliance. Nobody is impressed, not around here. Nobody actually believes it conveys an active lifestyle anywhere in America. If anything, it says “I have kids and I spend all of my free time ferrying then to activities.” It is soft and comfortable and…
Alternatively, the 7.3L diesel version of the Excursion is a wonder. It is reliable, it tows and will run all day at highway speed while getting fuel mileage that no other SUV that size can match.
New Volkswagen = Old GM.
Oh look, now we’re even blaming poor engineering on global warming.
What? Are you seriously suggesting we ADAPT to warmer temperatures instead of throwing trillions of dollars at schemes that are supposed to cool the planet by a tenth of a degree in a century?
Dear Alissa,
It is entirely incorrect to tie this to climate change. This is the result of the government asking for a spec for a ship that doesn’t reflect how they intend to use it.
I have swam in the Persian gulf during the summer in Kuwait and it was almost body temperature that was 13 years ago. Nothing new; this is just plain ass shitty ship design.
If you read the testimony they state the ships were specifically not designed for a profile that included extended operations in the Gulf.
