Sure, those fireflies are cute, until you disturb them, and then, well...
Professional conceptual? Bullshit category for bullshit photo.
Are you sure you didn’t find this info here?
Death PROOF? They better start redesigning these then...
MY ALL MORONS!
I used to work for Ford, as an engineer at their Product Development Center (PDC). At PDC, there were huge garages that were simply filled with competitive models, in various stages of de-construction. You could call it reverse engineering, but more than anything else, it’s just “let’s learn what we can learn”. You…
They want to find out what not to do.
Pictured: A car that wouldn’t score that well.
Filed to “no shit”..... same as the Model S had tons of issues, still does. This is one of the many dragons Tesla must slay if they hope to become a major player in the auto indusrty by selling a volume entry level car and not just conversation feelgood toys for rich people.
My feedback was very constructive. Sorry you got stuck with F/A.
This isn’t working. Just stop. Let F/A die.
Actually, there are like 20 makes that have better initial build quality.
She went on to say that that if she had similar issues with her Cadillac Escalade, she “would be furious.”
That just means that Teslas and BMWs are garbage. Not that shoddy products are OK.
Aside from the safety issues of the doors they are just super gimmicky. Lincoln throws gull wings on a concept they get trashed. Tesla puts some on a production car and they have quality issues and they still are hailed as the best thing ever.
The doors scare me even more. I’m a father, my kids sit in the back of the vehicle... what happens in an accident??? As I recall, Mercedes had to add explosive charges to their gull-wing doors in case the vehicle rolled over. The Tesla doors aren’t even working before an accident and are unable to see obstacles? How…
Tesla doesn’t sell to typical consumers, it sells to evangelists. That’s why they get away with selling a sub-par vehicle for six figures. These cars are about virtue-signaling, not function.
““I am totally willing to overlook the issues if Tesla fixes it.” She went on to say that that if she had similar issues with her Cadillac Escalade, she “would be furious.””
Of course the owners (and the fanboys on this site) brush these things off like nothing. But if this were any other automaker, the Internet wild be alit with complaints. Shows you how blindly these people follow Tesla. While the other problems aren't that serious, the windshield and AutoPilot are scary. And the doors…
