Of course its bad science. If it was as they describe it’s a perpetual motion machine. They aren’t capturing any wasted energy of the other vehicles they are merely causing a parasitic increase in what it takes to move them forward for a very short distance. Nobody is going to notice that for a few feet the energy to…
It’s not genius, it’s robbery. They’re wasting more gas creating that energy by slowing those cars down than they’re getting out of it. Sorry Volvo, but I have no respect for this thing. It does more harm than good. It’s also not trolly and great. It’s just stupid.
You wouldn’t download a battery.
Driving over those tubes causes additional resistance against the tires of the passing cars? That resistance would cause those cars to spend more energy to maintain speed.
i stopped the video also,i actually cringed at the hipster approach, piss poor excuse for journalism
Did you guys film this on a wide angle 1:1 potato with a lens made of seaglass?
That was one of the worst interviews I have ever seen outside of a High School journalism class.
Trying to figure out the worst part:
Holy fuck these videos are awful. Seriously awful. All of them. Are you trying to be ridiculously unprofessional because it’s like, an ironic hipster thing, or are you all seriously just this incompetent?
Learn the difference between AKI and RON. US 91 is like Euro 98.
93 in the US is roughly equivalent to 98 in Europe. The difference is in how it’s measured.
Euro is RON-only.
US is (RON+MON)/2.
You do realize that American 91 octane gasoline is basically the same as European 93, right? And our 93 is the same as their 98.
This is rooted in straight-up ignorance. Europe and North America operate on different ratings for octane. A 91 AKI in the US is roughly equivalent to a 95 RON in the Europe.
Another dumbass who stumbled over here from Gawker.....
Guess you missed the line ending “piled on by every subsequent president for their own purposes.”
Pin this on the Republicans all you want, Dems played on this fear of black criminality as well. Private prisons skyrocketed beginning in Clinton’s era. Federal sentencing got tougher and continued to be discriminatory as well.
