I feel you, friend. I’m no stranger to the comments section myself; all too often debating against the groupthink that pervades this place.

Always have, always will, friend. Kotaku does the best job of all the Gawker sites of keeping to their own fucking business and not posting stories of a political nature without some reasonable connection to gaming, but they’re still a Gawker site. Get in line, or get a whole lot of bullshit about how you’re awful

Obligatory comment about how my sister made $xx amount of money in one week working from home

It’s almost as if when you mix a bunch of different groups together with varying wants and needs from disparate socio-economic backgrounds, they may have different priorities, and those priorities might clash!

“Sachs points to the profound racial and ethnic segregation of our society”

Disapointment: Everybody in this thread missed their chance to actually write a reply after their emotional message:

Political comment being forced in when no one asked for it.

Completely unrelated comment about irrelevant social media drama regarding a different game from the same studio.

The Mexico thing is, for sure. It’s insanity really. The thing about whites being displaced has some merit with a few asterisks. I recently moved back to NJ from Maryland and I can say for a fact that the number of Indians and Pakistanis is through the roof compared to twenty years ago. The whole H1-B thing is a

I signed up for EA Access specifically to demo Andromeda after hearing iffy things about it. I think EA Access will see a sharp uptick in its membership for a month or so. :)

“in 2005, he made over $150 million but paid just $38 million in taxes.”

he compared it to the “religious right” not “the religious” ffs do you even read what you’re responding to before you get upset? What is wrong with you?

Sorry yes , it reviewed well , my brain thinks in consumer reception by default cause I’ve been selling games for 14yrs. Doom sold way more poorly than it should have. It’s pretty cheap these days and I still hear people say ‘meh I heard it wasn’t that good’ etc.

1984, on the other hand...

Sure there is. It guarantees you will buy Nintendo’s latest console no matter how crappy it is

I know it’s heresy, but yeah, I increasingly can’t see the point in buying a separate console just for Nintendo games. Especially when so many features arent included. And when they keep ruining games like Skyward Sword by forcing in those freaking controls.

I love Nintendo hardware, but this stuff with Switch is making me lose hope. We’ll see though. It’s possible this will be patched out and that left JoyCon issue will be resolved.

But what have any of their “unique ideas” amounted to anything worth-while in the long run? I really don’t think so. Wii Sports was fun but motion control turned out to have no lasting relevance. Two screen gaming worked great for the DS/3DS, but didn’t translate to a traditional console. They have shown that they can
