Best model of this I’ve seen was in Austin airport, with a self-serve coffee carafe and a clear plastic box for you to put a dollar in.  Only system in place was the honor system.

And is that 10K of additional value?  Or is it a marginal decrease in monthly costs due to nogas?  You can make the numbers work on the right timescale, but for lots of people it’s better to just have 10K now than 20K over 10 years.

Neutral: EVs need to be able to do everything better than ICE vehicles for that to happen. Right now, they can’t. “You don’t really need that!” remains an ineffective method for convincing people to buy.
