Hey folks. I just wanted to drop in and say thank you to everyone here for all the kind words, and also for reading what I’ve written at The A.V. Club these past nine years. I know I wasn’t always the most consistent presence in the comments, even before the Kinja transition, but I dipped in fairly regularly, and for

Oh man, the Wikipedia page for this thing is a thrill ride all on its own. At the very least, I’d watch a Fyre Festival-style documentary about the production.

The “Good Guys” in Harry Potter spend the entire series trying to free house elves, and to show that other sentient non-human creatures deserve to be Persons (centaurs, Aragog, etc).

Saying that a gag is played out is *checks notes* played out.

I have no beef with these people.

I like ‘em both. They both capture different elements of the book well.

Better.

A master class in GIF use, bravo.
