Why are you still being dumb?

Most CrossFitters? I know suburban moms who do CrossFit. Like a lot of them. I don’t think CrossFit is exactly what you think it is. Also, just squatting or cleaning doesn’t mean someone is pretending to be a professional athletic. By your logic, anyone who plays baseball or basketball (and goes hard each time on

My apologies, I misread your comment.

I hear you. I don’t have an answer and I don’t think you’re necessarily wrong. It’s tough though. It’s the internet. I think there are people who feel the way you do about seeing drugs but with food, alcohol and sex. I believe in being respectful and I support safe spaces, but obviously there has to be a line

Olympic lifting, powerlifting and kettle bells were certainly part of the very (very) beginning of CrossFit. So was the coaching/training aspect. So was the setting up ‘boxes’ and charging a membership. It was all there from the very beginning.

I hear you. Personally I don’t know what the best course of action is. I know people that are recovering from anorexia so a model may set them off. Or people who binge/purge so cake may set them off.

I don’t do CrossFit so I’m not paying for CrossFit. But CrossFit is more than pull ups, push ups, unweighted squats and running. The floor is typically rubber matting sometimes with lifting platforms. There are also bumper plates (necessary for Olympic lifts) as well as Olympic lifting bars. It’s pretty rare for

I am very sorry to hear you are in the position you are in. I could never imagine how difficult addiction can be. I imagine it’s a struggle and there is definitely not enough support in our society. With that said, where does the trigger warning end? What about people with food addictions or sex addictions? A great

But it’s a ‘CrossFit’ workout. Most people who do CrossFit are probably better off having one shoe that is the best for what is often done.

Given the amount of weight lifting (squats/deadlifts/snatches/cleans) involved in CrossFit as well as swinging kettle bells, running shoes are a terrible choice. They have such a soft sole, especially the heal, stability is terrible (when lifting weights). So a ‘CrossFit’ shoe provides the best combination of

Where did you get the ‘cost virtually nothing’ part? It still involves minimal equipment. Go to a ‘regular’ gym (Crunch, Sports Club, YMCA, Equinox) and go to a CrossFit gym. Tell me which has less equipment.

Your first paragraph explains exactly why people wear different shoes for different activities. Some shoes better ankle support, some shoes for grip in grass verse hard ground or stones. Some shoes, like basket ball shoes, are designed to pivot better on the foot.

HOLY CRAP! I’ve never heard this joke before! And no, I don’t do crossfit.

Murph includes two miles worth of running. Also, you probably don’t want to be in any gym barefoot.
