This is exactly right. It’s the whole, “he seems like the kind of guy I’d want to grab a beer with” mentality. You don’t WANT the president to be a regular joe, you want someone who knows what they’re doing and understands the complexity and intricacies of the job. It’s infuriating.

I find that stupidity and pridefulness go hand-in-hand. It’s an odd combination of insecurity and complete lack of introspection.

I’m really tired of these misleading “electoral maps” which show almost the entire country red. The majority of this nation’s population lives in cities, which are usually blue. It’s incredibly misleading to show an almost entirely red map when many of those red parts contain very few people.
