I have this same problem with Saabs. Just last week I chanted ‘Pay the Mortgage First’ for 20 minutes. And passed on a beautiful 1986 900T.

I haven’t, but will. Thanks.

You’ve created a timeless classic. It floats, right?

This car evokes memories...Seems as if the straight six three on the tree configuration was the base trim across the big three in the 50s 60s and even 70s. I got my license in 67, and as a constantly broke kid and later even broker parent, had a series of these- ‘61 chevy Bel Aire, 69 and 72 Maverick, a Plymouth

I bought every part I ever needed for my several 87-91 Camrys there. Cheap.

RM was a total dickweed. The Power Broker is a must. He made NY metro commuting the hell it is today.

Don’t be too sad. Note the windows are taped or plastic covered and doors left ajar. These cars are drying and will be back on the street-whole or as recycled parts.

A mediocre U.K. Paper is your source? Pull on a diaper and go eat Portuguese food in Ironbound sometime. Then catch a Devils game or a soccer game or a minor league baseball game. All in Newark.

And tweedy sport coats with Haggar slacks.

Poor attempt at sarcasm. And if you’re serious, fuck off. Or live out your life at home cowering with fear.

Wiz, K&N Mahle or Mann only for my Saab.

Drive it in reverse & it plays the opening chords of “Smoke on the Water”. Job well done, I say.

We filled my buddy’s ‘67 with balloons and drove around for days till they deflated. Just for the hell of it, and because of weed. Got pulled over several times, high as satellites and never got popped. Army discharge papers worked every time.

Wrong friends. We called it the bang bus.

Who makes the new EV fedex trucks I’ve seen bouncing around lower manhattan? Very 5th Element. Or 6th.

Same thing.

5 cents x 18 gal. = <$1. So across the street is about it. During the Carter gas shortage, people would line up& wait a half hour + to save 3 cents a gal rather than drive down the block. I was poor (er) back then and never hesitated to pay up rather than queue up.

Saving grace of the 500 was a huge backseat w acres of legroom. Almost big enough for jump seats. It would have been a great cab but for self destructing at 80k mi.

USA accounts for 90% of PR exports and 50+% of imports. Manufacture of most exported products is owned by US corps. It would be extremely difficult.

The country would be ruined financially. Worse than it is currently. All debts would be called in and the flow of most goods would stop. Look at what Britian and the World bank did to Jamaica in 1962. Trade restrictions. Onerous loan terms. Cash flying outg of the country. It would be devastating.
