She also produced a lot of her own work. I remember being into her as a kid and reading the liner notes and always seeing she was one of the three writers of a song and one of two producers. I was super crushed when I started listening to other artists and seeing they didn’t help write their own music.

I am impressed by how smiley this left me. She seemed half in the bag, but super animated by Marilyn Monroe, lingerie, and a wispy legacy of feminine awesomeness that ends in self-destruction.
