My response to right wingers complaining about all the nepotism that Hunter Biden benefits from is “Wake me up when Joe adds him to the Cabinet and sends him to fix the Middle East.”

Especially considering the very public and tragic history Biden has with his family: his wife and one year old daughter died in 1972 and his son Beau died in 2015. You have to be an absolute monster to mock a parent who has already buried two children who is concerned for his only living son as he is struggling with

Yeah, I don’t understand this one. I know many Trump supporters in rural areas, or otherwise, definitely have family members struggling with addiction. I don’t see how a parent calling a wayward child to tell them they are loved, but need help, is a scandal?

I can’t imagine the kind of sad asshole you’d have to be to hear that and think “lol what a loser”.

But you got to see yourself represented this time!

I don’t think Porter needed to walk back his criticism, and I think he only walked it back because of the backlash. It was valid and the harassment is something us non-straight passing Queers have to cope with on the regular.

Especially when it feels that his gender play is served up for the female gaze, something he’s basked in since his boy band days. He’s not in a dress on the cover of GQ or Interview, you know? I support his right to wear whatever he wants for whatever reason he wants, but I agree that Billy Porter had the right read

I just feel us Queer people don’t have time for his middling response to things. Maybe he is Queer, or maybe it is marketing, either way I don’t think Billy Porter was far off with his read of the double standard of when a straight passing person is accepted for gender play, and those read as behaving Queer beyond

Nah the “Look at me!” came from the billionaire who found a regular person’s tweet and used it to pretend to be moral and ethical

Thank you, person with a reasonable take. Having been in the room when my grandmother and my mother died, the last thing you want is a crowd.

Fuck em.

“No one is expected to look their best at the airport...”

I’m real confused by the “been there, girl!” and “nothing to see here!” tone of this article when it takes about 10 seconds to watch the Page Six video and realize there is actually something to see and it is concerning.

It’s not that I take any particular joy in the potential downfall of a couple...”

Very sorry, but it’s “Dita”, her alter ego. I know too much about her...

The alter ego isn’t “Ita” it’s “Dita” and she will be your mistress tonight. It’s a reference to Erotica!

I always take issue with this viewpoint, because it represents a profound misunderstanding of where both parties are currently at and where they’ve been in terms of recent history. Admittedly, this is a misunderstanding the media has and continues to propagate.

The answer is no. The GOP thought they had the the majority of American’s on their side because Trump won in 2016. The only explanation is they thought overturning Roe would be so popular, they didn’t need to worry about fallout.

Credit to Kate Riga at Talking Points Memo for this thought on their podcast:

“Didn’t they have a plan?”

From the moment they rammed Justice Serena Joy onto the Supreme Court, they knew this would happen. Did none of them think to contain the fallout somehow?

If just one of these jackholes had said, “OF COURSE a

I think people really underestimate how many apathetic both-sides centrists thought they had the whole politics game “figured out” and were genuinely shocked by this because they genuinely believed that the GOP would never actually overturn Roe.
