If people like gangmembers get killed whilst commiting their felonies, not many people will care. It is the unfortunate bystanders that are really heartbreaking
Yet hundreds of people do every day.
So in your first sentence you say that chances are you will never have a break in. Then in second sentence you say “think about your feelings”. Seems contradictory.
Not the NRA. The supreme Court affirmed that the state has no obligation to protect you.
Revolvers are semi-automatic ya moron.
If the purpose is stopping psychopaths committing mass murder a sawdoff ban is useless. If the goal is to keep gang members from doing it...useless. If the goal is to prevent bubba from shooting his wife with one, then perhaps it may be useful.
We need to ban physics.
Words have meaning sweetheart. Which is why this article exists in the first place. A poorly written law made bump stocks a thing. If you don’t know the terminology, you can’t ban it. But if it would make you happy, by all means let’s pass a ban on “clips” with more than 10 round capacity and nothing will change. But…
I guess it depends on the scenario.
No 10 guys with pistols won’t stop a modern army with tanks etc.... but the 12 million + armed and trained hunters in this country outnumber every standing army in the world by an order of magnitude (and that is just the Hunters)
I already addressed this. Scroll up. My argument is about how gun control could help reduce overall gun deaths, not mass shootings.
As for your second question - the citizenry is already so laughably outgunned against the police and military it makes no difference to me. See my last sentence.
Fine. Instead of advocating or promoting gun control, just have the CDC research the fuck out of it and release the results to the public so that it can be disseminated across the planet...or would the NRA be against that also?
If you can do something about gun trafficking, then yes. The harder you can make it to obtain a weapon illegally, the more expensive it becomes. The more expensive it becomes, the less available it becomes. This is just economics. You don’t stop gun crime. But you can reduce it. Fewer guns means fewer deaths because…
I have a big keychain fob that is made of steel and looks like pointy cat ears. There are “holes” for your fingers to slip through. It was given to me by the local Women’s Crisis Shelter. I could do some serious damage with it if necessary. Murder, I don’t know. Something like that, maybe?
The answer, of course, would be banning all of them. But pistols are popular.
Good day to you sir.
