And the whole point of that gag is that Marty learned Rock & Roll from listening to Chuck Berry. It was a funny take on the Grandfather Paradox, one of the oldest tropes in time-travel fiction.

You apparently weren’t around in the 60s, 70s or 80s. Tight pants are hardly new for men or women.
