In the last couple of seasons, Scully was the main protagonist! She really held up the show while Mulder was absent. In comparison, the episodes where Scully was abducted by aliens in season 3 were shit. The X-files could survive without Mulder, but it is nothing without Scully.

Brains do crazy things! I thought I was going insane until I read Hallucinations by Oliver Sacks, which had a great chapter on hypnagogic and hypnopompic hallucinations.

Yes! Mine aren’t visual hallucinations, but auditory. I hear voices saying strings of words that sound like sayings, but aren’t. For example: “sultry bellhop” and “lavender prenup”. It’s pretty weird, but I’ve had them for as long as I can remember.

The Knick has improved so much from the 1st season. It’s not all sex and surgery now! There’s character development! Thack switches drugs, Bono’s daughter becomes her own woman, etc.
