@zinyman: General trend with all newspapers due to downward quality of education (t'is more important to not tax billionares). Certainly this generation could not feasibly put a man on the moon, not even with all the cheap computing power available.

@meatbag_pussrocket: I remember when NeXT adopted 2.88 MB floppy support. The reset of the world did not due to the rise of CD-ROMs. Perhaps USB 3 will fizzle due to the rise of Light Peak?

@blackscreen: 2012 is a long way from "this time". Intel currently does not offer USB 3.
