Sometimes it’s good. I had an experience recently at a mobile carrier that started out good - they listened to my requirements, then suggested a plan that they had. At a decent price, good device options, etc.

I agree with learning phrases fully. This turns your experience into “bored tourist staring at their phone” to “engaged and fascinated guest to our country”.

Carry a balance and you’re a credit card company’s best friend: but carrying that balance hammers your credit rating, meaning that new mortgage, or lease, or anything really related to credit, is more expensive. And increases your APR with the same credit card company too...

Personally... I like to wash as I cook, where possible. If I’ve just cooked a bunch of steaks, I tend to clean the cooking pan/griddle then and there before I eat - this way, the pan is still hot, so the grease/oils/etc almost slides off and really needs more of a quick scrub.

If you want Porche looks and performance, you can get a 2001-ish era 911 carrera for around 20k. There is a caveat: you will need to be very very particular about inspecting the engine as there is a failure part that you would replace for around $1k to remove the weakness. And it’s a gorgeous model too, not too far…
