My first thought as well. Take it home, play it cool, and call the dealership and ask if it’s ready.  “What do you mean it was stolen?  How?”

That’s part of it, but not all of it.

I have three jobs, none of which give me insurance. I aged out of being on my dad’s two years ago. The only plan I could afford was $400/month with a $6000 deductible, so I’d be out $14k, half my annual income, before they’d cover *anything*. Bingo. I definitely enjoy the project as much as driving.  I got my fun out of this car, I’ve been off-roading and playing with it for 2 years now.  Time for someone else to enjoy it so I can start something new.  I only have a 2-car garage, and the car in the other bay isn’t going anywhere. 

If it’s anything like my projects, I start out with huge visions. I’m excited. Motivated. Can’t wait to complete it.

Some people like the project itself but may not be completely attached to the end product.

I’d love to start a project like that, but I’d be in so, so much trouble if I brought a project car home.
