Fun fact: the Vulcan used in the Top Gear episode from last season that Matt was in ended up going to an Aston dealer in St. Louis. I got to see it in a few months ago while my wife and I were up there. Words can’t describe how amazing this car is when you see it in person.

Unique does not always equal good. I’ll just be honest. This isn’t art. It looks like a 7 year old did it and to me is by far the worst of the art cars. Maybe I am just not up on ‘art’ though.

They really did. All the good bits were on the 03. Everything just came together that year.

Very nice. Is yours an 03? Hard to tell from the angle but if it is those are the same wheels I had. The ones on the older models were slightly different. To me, BMW has made some of the most beautiful wheels out there for the higher end models. It really sets the car apart from the stock ones imo.

I did get more than what the car was worth, so that did help. I ended up getting a 350Z convertible because I thought at the time that is what I wanted, but I should have went in a different direction. I kept it until last year when I bought my current car.

It was Black Friday of 2013. The car was a 2003 BMW 540i M-Sport. I had found it online a couple of weeks before. I had been looking for a car to replace my dying Accord and had wanted an E39 since around 2000.

Glad I wasn’t the only one thinking that.
