I wasn’t married to the guy but had a relationship once with a man who’d cry at the drop of a hat when he felt that things were getting a little too difficult between us. After the first few times, I began to suspect he was being manipulative and passive-agressive. He was white, too. 

I am! It's not even a probable for me. He is for sure an alcoholic. Tried to deflect every single question about drinking too much. Would not give an unequivocal denial or even a solid answer. Those were the questions he really really didn't want to answer.

I hate to disappoint you, but I was married to a guy who would cry like this.

Why is noone talking about how this man is probably a functioning alcoholic? Does anyone want a fucken alcoholic on the highest court of the land? Honestly the only time he looked happy was when he was talking about beer. Ugh. Yes I completely believe he is a violent drunk.
