It has the same profile as a Gran Turismo (or, hatchback, in BMW-speak), it’s just taller. Point still stands.

IMHO, crossovers are taller wagons... Yet Jalopniks hate crossovers.

We should be thanking these gentlement for buying such awesome cars new, keeping them in a time capsule for a few decades, then selling them to us hooligans at bargain prices.

INVESTING PRO TIP:

> quarter mile 13.1s

These things have awful audio quality though. No highs, no lows, just a bunch of muffled mids.

The 7 Series should be replaced by a huge SUV. Being a sedan doesn’t provide much benefit for a vehicle of this size, so the market is making a shift towards massive SUVs. BMW should follow suit and build an X7.

I see what you’re saying, but those rules are in place for a reason. Investors who are not running the business themselves need to have a thorough understanding of what is involved in running a business. Investing in a business does not mean you have any control over the operations of the company, and it’s not

Elio is a horrible investment anyway.

I had one as a rental and it didn’t feel especially fast. Especially from a dead stop. Traction control neutered that thing so bad that realistically, it took ~7 seconds to hit 60.

FWD was high-tech in the 80s. This was the era when Honda was building FWD cars that out-handled Porsches.

There’s the fact that we know it to be, really, really fast despite not having a lot of power. Which suggests that it handles damn well. I have enough experience with fwd racing know what characteristics make it fast, and a tendency towards oversteer under lift is one of them.

It’s a Type-R, which means there’s a 100% chance of being able to perform mid-corner corrections with a bit of throttle lift.

Don’t worry, it’s still slow.

Only people who don’t know how to drive will think this thing understeers. I have no problem getting the back-end out in a number of well-tuned FWD cars.

Weren’t you like 9 when the first movie came out?

A new V6 Mustang traps 103 in the quarter mile, so there’s no way this thing’s power ratings were underrated.

What evidence do you have to support this claim?

The Cyclone is actually not a very good engine for the Mustang. It lacks low-end torque and pulls timing so aggressively that it usually feels weezy. Ecoboost is much, much, much better engine.

It’s still quite a bit slower than the SS of yore. An SS would run high 13s from the factory. Every article I’ve seen on the new V6 has it running mid 14s.
