Yeah, they aren't even close in terms of styling. The have two doors, but hat's about it.

I did. I know I'm not alone. It just felt exactly like my Celica, so I decided to keep it and buy the more powerful car.

Costs, probably.

They are probably banking on getting in with suppliers before everybody else jumps on the bandwagon.

There's no way the 5.0 is losing power this year. If anything, the improvements for hte Mustang are going to carry over. We're definitely going to see 400+ft.lbs, and probably 390-420hp.

There's no way the 2.3T is frail. I don't get why people have this idiotic perception. Every single ecoboost engine on the market is overbuilt as fuck. The people are pushing 300ft.lbs out of the little 1.6 engine in the Fiesta. Ford's Stage 1 pack for the Focus ST pushes that engine to 360ft.lbs. And the 3.5

GM hasn't learned, I agree.

This is pretty well established, but I guess you've not heard. We bailed them out in order to keep US automotive production viable in the US. Alan Mulally testified in front of Congress in favor of a GM bailout saying that, the loss of GM would cause financial strain on their suppliers, which would force them out of

I'm going to get a fair bit of hate about this, but the Prius. It's big enough to haul a good amount, but small enough to be nimble and easy to drive. It's cheap, reliable, and comfortable. Since retirees don't have a regular commute, a Prius will likely last their entire life.

That's the problem though, if you can afford a 750 when you retire, then you worked for too long in your life. Once you're in your 60-70s, you start realizing how many years of your life were wasted working for no reason, rather than spending time with your family while you could.

The tune he's talking about adds around 50 or 60hp to an already underrated engine, at the expense of long-term reliability.

Why bother with an expensive pair of cars when you're retired? Just get a cheap Prius to share and focus on doing the things that you love. That's probably the source of unhappiness among retired BMW drivers: they worked far too long to save up too much money with the belief that spending it all would make them

Ordinary people think luxury cars are fast though. I play a game with non-car people where I point at two cars in the parking lot and ask which they think is faster. If one of the car is a luxury marquee, the person will nearly always chose it unless the other car is a obviously fast car (Corvette or somesuch).

This is awesome. GM has produced so many slow-as-shit coupes in the 80s and 90s that I don't think many people would take them seriously. For that reason, this is probably one of the few coupes that could pull off the sleeper thing.

That's not a sleeper man. It's a two-door luxury coupe, people tend to expect those to be quite fast.

The old Smart actually did quite well technically in the crash safety tests. It had less cabin intrusion and interior movement than a Corolla and it distributed the force of the impact more equally to the occupants, whereas the Corolla exerted double the force to the right side of the occupants body.

Neutral: Will You Ever Buy Another New Sedan?

The boss has a different valvetrain too, which is supposed to be stable up until 9000.

Exactly, that's why the boss improvements are largely useless for the new 5.0.

The performance package V6 comes with a 3.31 rear end.
