It is a straw man because you’re arguing a point I’m not and then attributing it to me. I’m not saying a businesses should be able to deny food or lodging. I don’t think two trucks and hotels should be able to refuse gay people, or trans people or any other people but that’s a different issue.

I don’t have a problem with enjoying stories understanding that they’re fictional. I do think pretending magic is real and actually happens is harmful, and frankly fucking stupid.

Your inability to understand nuance is frustrating but predictable. And while I’m sure it would be thrilling to receive commendation from an adult who thinks a shiver down their spine is a ghostly presence I guess I’ll just have to endure without it.

And also I said the ghost stories were stupid I’m here for the ones about scary real people, those are actually frightening.

I mean all of us are commenting on a blog, there are no geniuses in this thread.

Well we live in a world that’s going to see a mass extinction soon because of a general lack of scientific fluency. So a bunch of adults pretending magic is real is not particularly endearing to me as it’s endemic of a larger problem that’s going to cost a lot of people their lives. Does that answer your question?

Ok here it goes, most of my friends don’t believe me when I tell this but I swear it happened. I live in a fairly old New England town lots of colonial houses from the 1800’s or earlier. I went to a Halloween party after school down the street from my house that was pretty typical, (touch the grapes for witches eyes,

I mean the ghost stories on this thread are always stupid but this one is literally about a woman who could not avoid the Noid.

I learned that word last year and it was like finding out there’s another person named Millhouse in the world.

It seems like such a stupid troll because people on the left won’t believe it, and people on the right would be super impressed she fucked a young marine like that. How is this supposed to hurt her?

I think it’s important to remember that any enjoyment of a work of fiction is subjective and when someone is saying a movie doesn’t work or isn’t good enough in any area what they’re really tagging at the end of that statement is “for me.” You can grow and learn things considering perspectives outside of your own but

Yeah if they think they’re the Rick and not the Morty then trouble’s ahead.

......I mean it’s pretty basic to expect no adult person to physically harm another one ever. Sorry for your weird life that you need that explained.

Supreme Court ruled on this in like the 1800's didn’t they, I thought that’s what Amistad was about.

“There are still a nonzero number of Sox fans who don’t know they’ve been the payroll king over the past two seasons.” What the fuck is this sentence supposed to mean, there is between 1 and infinity Red Sox fans who don’t know they’ve had the highest salary the last two years?

“Who printed out something black and white and was formerly employed here?”

Exactly right Gladwell’s premise is that you automatically believe the accused and not the victims. Which is insanity. His stupid fucking pet theory doesn’t even remotely apply here.

Counterpoint: No he isn’t.

Well well well look at the royal prince himself who grew up with teeth. In our neighborhood we played the game through a complicated series of clicks and eye blinks.

Because she’s more qualified than most of them?
