In case anyone’s wondering about the technical details of this that we can piece together from Intel’s grudging admissions... This is very non-technical, forgive me if I skip over some details that make you froth. And of course I only know what’s leaked, so hard specifics are in short supply, but I think this is

I will pay more and go further out of my way to go to a Target over a Walmart. The store isn’t as crowded, poorly organized, or just generally unfriendly.

We’ve tried that, the problem is this thing called the “general public” they are shitty, shitty people, and being around them isn’t worth the effort.

The Target in my immediate area is head, shoulders and and arms length above the local Walmart. Cleaner, quieter, much better and nicer help, products actually in stock and not strewn about the floor. The negligible price difference is worth the much nicer experience. I’ll take that over the savings.

In Canada, all existing and new Target stores will be rebranded as “Amazon, Eh?”

As long as Target remains in business , I see this as a good deal. I like Target. We shop there at least weekly for tons of stuff. I will, when pressed, go to Walmart. But target has cleaner, less crowded stores (Not because there are less shoppers but the aisle are wider and there are fewer families all shopping

Years later I’m still fucking pissed at that bait & switch.

Subarus don’t blow head gaskets anymore! They consume oil. ;)

Later, they announced more information regarding the drivetrain; it’s available with a 300ish horsepower flat 4 turbo that will immediately develop head gasket issues.

*Sigh*

Holy poop, these guys were pretty much my goto to get desktop parts. I’m very interested in seeing how this plays out.

i’d send it for 2 years of taxi service in iraq. if it comes back with most of its parts, in running condition with no repairs, it’s reliable.

The take in hundreds of thousands of dollars from the very companies they are rating. Totally corrupt.

I had no idea CR issued ratings on cars they’ve never tested/driven before.

I think they’re actually really good looking in real life! They definitely have more of a ‘good looking regular car’ than a ‘compact luxury sedan’ thing going on, though. Nowhere as racy as a Giulia, Jag XE or even a 3-series. But the same applies to a Model S vs Quattroporte, S-class, etc. I’d say Model S and 3 are

I’ve seen a few in the wild here in the Bay Area. I kind of like it, to be honest (still hate the “dash”).

I wish everything had an optional dark theme.

My MiL had a 14 forester she bought new in 15 and hated it. I drove it once and the CVT was garbage. The thing made plenty of noise when you hit the gas pedal but trundled along. She traded it in for a 17 cx5 and its night and day different. The cx5 is a pretty good crossover to drive and it can get out of its own

I bought a Subaru Legacy this past year and for me New was just about the same price or within a couple thousand so I went New.

Yeah check the new car prices and see how much discount you can get compared to a CPO car. Subaru’s CPO program isn’t all that great in terms of coverage anyway.
