Witnesses also state he had a gun, so that’s looking pretty certain at this point.

Not properly obeying a police officers command. If people would just learn to listen, do what they're told, and stop arguing, there would be a lot less death. Cooperate now, argue later.

Seems to be the common denominator in all this. Just stop and do what the police ask you to do. It's so simple.

Open carry means you can have a holstered gun in full view. You cannot walk around with it in your hand. That’s imminent threat. And you certainly cannot ignore police when they tell you to drop it.

Why? One means a dangerous person got himself killed. The other means an innocent person was murdered for reading. This is a terrible take.

Having the right to carry a gun and openly holding that gun when police are in front of you are not the same fucking thing.

Why would you “root” for anything? This isn’t a sporting event.

Indulging the police account for a moment, the claim is not merely that he was armed, but that he was armed and advancing despite multiple warnings to drop the gun. Open carry doesn’t address most of that.

That matters not. If the cops tell you to put a gun down you must put it down, open carry state or otherwise.
